The Tomb Raider series has sold 100 million copies and is now getting three more remasters – including Lara Croft’s worst-reviewed game

The Tomb Raider series has now sold more than 100 million copies over its three decade history, so three more Lara Croft adventures are getting a much-deserved, and much-needed, glow-up.This year, series stewards Crystal Dynamics and remasterers Aspyr Media updated Tomb Raider 1-3 with modern sensibilities. The pair are now giving more Lara Croft games the same treatment with Tomb Raider 4-6 Remastered, which repackages the late PS1 games The Last Revelation and Chronicles, together with the series’ first PS2 outing Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness. The remastered pack gives each game a nice visual overhaul to beautify characters, environments, spiky traps, and ancient artefacts – the trailer below even boasts of some really nice looking shadow work. It also includes my favorite feature from the first set of remasters: the ability to toggle between the new and old graphics on-the-fly.

The 10 best zombie games that will munch your brain

Something about the best zombie games makes them fascinating, disgusting, and awesome all at once. More often than not they’re rooted in survival a well as doubling up as some of the best horror games, launching players into post-apocalyptic wastelands where death is likely, provisions are scarce, and all that’s left to do is press on through the gnawing masses. Whether you love getting up close and personal with makeshift melee weapons or sending some undead brains flying with a shotgun, we’ve got you covered in our selection of the best ever zombie games out there. The voracious beasts you’ll find below are part of a storied subgenre with a glittering, gutsy history. Resident Evil popularized the zombie genre with one of the first and best survival horror games way back in the mid-90s, and has returned to prominence with its first-person slants on the formula in Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil: Village. Its modern day remakes of the classics include Resident Evil 2, 3, and 4, but th…

On the heels of Concord’s flop, PlayStation rolls out an official survey gauging players on its biggest live service win: Helldivers 2

As the creators of Concord mourn the shooter’s hasty end, publisher Sony is continuing its pursuit of the live service dollar and tapping its biggest win in the space for some timely feedback. A new survey straight from PlayStation Research asked players of Helldivers 2, which is also owned and published by Sony, how they’re feeling about the game, and it was quickly struck by so much democracy that it was pulled – but then seemingly reposted. The survey was shared earlier today, September 9, by the official Reddit account of developer Arrowhead. It was also posted to the Helldivers Discord server by community manager Baskinator, who said in a Reddit comment that “this survey is conducted by the PlayStation Research team. We will pull this link down when the survey has gathered enough responses. We hope to do these more often moving forward.” In an updated Discord comment, Baskinator notes that the link was removed there since the survey was “full.” However, the Reddit post i…
